In this website, information concerning the Japanese ethnicity will be found. “Asian” is used as a racial term to describe people from Asia, especially the Southeastern region. Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese compile a subgroup of ethnicities. While such can be considered races as well, the usage of the term “ethnicity” comes from the fact that each have their own distinct culture and common heredity. In the past, ethnicities have been transformed into nationalities, and Japan is no exception. Thus, Japanese is considered an ethnicity and race for any curious upon the matter. As a side note, expect both pertinent and irrelevant fun facts throughout the website.
